William Knabe Square Grand, circa 1860

     Empire Revival  Style Rosewood Cabinetry

      William Knabe Satin Rosewood Cabinetry

Rosewood Cabinetry, Empire Style.  Full Restoration in process.  Purchase it Now, & we will complete it for you.

Includes new strings, tuning pins, original ivory/ebony keyboard.  The cosmetic restoration has already been completed.  The rosewood has a more brown-based color than most rosewoods, and thereby we would say that the probable origin is the East Indian variety of rosewood.

A Bishop from a local Church, upon seeing the highly-figured rosewood grain patterns on the lid, exclaimed while raising his hands high the air: 'I see an angel spreading its wings.'

 HISTORICALLY SIGNIFICANT PIANO

We call it: "The Healing Piano", reportedly located in Burkittsville, Maryland during the Civil War, and was used as a surgical table to treat wounded soldiers in a local Doctor's home, according to archived family documents provided to us by recent owner of the piano.
