Rosewood Cabinetry, Empire Style. Full Instrumental Restoration has been given to this exceptionally responsive and warmly resonant instrument. A live video of the Knabe is coming soon!
Restoration procedures include: new strings, tuning pins, original ivory/ebony keyboard restoration, complete regulation of keyboard action, damper system refelting and adjustment, etc. The cosmetic restoration has also been completed. The satin finish has a stain close in color to oak, pecan, or maple segments of the 'color wheel'.
A Bishop from a local Church, upon seeing the highly-figured rosewood grain patterns on the lid, exclaimed while raising his hands high the air: 'I see an angel spreading its wings.'

HISTORICALLY SIGNIFICANT PIANO
We call it: "The Healing Piano", reportedly located in Burkittsville, Maryland during the Civil War, and was used as a surgical table to treat wounded soldiers in a local Doctor's home, according to archived family documents provided to us by recent owner of the piano.#8080, verified as having been manufactured in 1860, according our piano trade reference materials.
